The Maryland Safe At Home Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) assists survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking to rebuild their lives without fearing for their safety by providing a legal substitute address to use in place of their actual address. For survivors who have recently moved to a location unknown to their abuser, the ACP’s substitute address and free mail-forwarding service prevents abusers from discovering the location of their victims through the internet or a public records search.
